An established family-practice two minutes from downtown Courtenay and ten minutes to the Comox Valley Hospital. I have a panel of 500 patients with organized and detailed charts on Oscar. I work two full days per week (one day in person and the rest virtual). I have also been part of a hospital call group that manages inpatients at CVH. Hospital work is available if desired but not necessary. On my off days I work at an Urgent care clinic and also do telemedicine with various facilities. Cottage medical is very flexible with days off and schedule changes which has been incredible. The staff is friendly and reliable. Currently there are four Physicians at Cottage Medical who often cross cover each other for Holidays/Vacation. The clinic owner Dr. Matous is extremely knowledgeable regarding opportunities locally available for physicians who wish to expand their tool set into more hospital work, surgical assisting and long term care.

Benefits

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:

Recruitment Incentive - $10,000; Fee Premium - 6.93%; Annual Flat Fee - $19,218.33; Rural CME starting at $2,200/annum in year 3 & 4 in community, increasing to a maximum of $4,400/annum after 4 years.

Overhead

30% fixed on MSP visits. No overhead for private billings.
