In accordance withMinistry of Health policy, masks must be worn by all persons visiting a health-care facility, including hospitals, health centres, physician’s offices and outpatient clinics. Island Health has also taken steps within our facilities to reduce the risk of transmission with physical barriers and signs to remind those to respect personal space.
We will be posting signs at all major entrances to our facilities. Island Health Ambassadors will be on site at all hospitals to welcome you, complete COVID-19 screening, direct you to the hand sanitizer and ensure you are wearing a mask before entering. Before you enter an Island Health location, be sure to mask-up.
Thank you for doing your part in protecting yourself and others around you.
Adults at high risk of serious outcomes due to COVID-19 infection are benefitting from two new outpatient therapeutic options now available throughout Island Health.
For the past year, Island Health has been offering whole community COVID-19 vaccine clinics to residents of rural and remote communities who may find it difficult to access clinics located in larger centres.
