Sluggett House is owned and operated by Beacon Community Services. It is a single level building with a secure garden, walkway and two patios.
Sluggett House has two main common areas. A shared combination kitchen/ dining/ living room, and a smaller fireside lounge. In addition, there is an on-site spa room outfitted with a soaker tub and hairdressing sink.
Sluggett House is located in a residential neighbourhood in Brentwood Bay, B.C. The village centre with banks, restaurants, shopping and pharmacies, is less than a five minute walk away.

Residents at this facility will usually be followed by their current physician, provided that they are able to provide ongoing care. If the resident cannot be followed by their community physician (or if
they do not have one), the facility will help facilitate the finding of a new physician.

Sluggett House staff provide leisure and recreation programming throughout the day. Activities include exercises (strength, stretch, balance, and neighbourhood walk) and options that are tailored to residents’ personal interests and preferences, such as bingo, mental aerobic activities, art, sing- along choir, music therapy, Music and Memory, pet visits and more. Bus outings are scheduled once or twice a month and take in local happenings and events.
Sluggett House is accessible for those who are independent in their mobility. Wheelchairs cannot be accommodated.
No motorized mobility devices permitted.
Visiting pets only are welcome in outside food preparation/service areas; for all residents’ comfort and safety, visiting pets must be calm and well mannered, have current vaccinations, and be on leash.
No smoking or vaping on site.
